Public Shelter...
The Harrison Hills ATV Club came up with the idea to have a public shelter to allow
organizations to congragate for outings. Garth Heckendorf, Clark
Wolfe, and Norman Heckendorf attended several meetings and spoke in support of the
public to have the shelter and the benefits for all types of organizations use.
A grant was applied for in Spring of 2006. After much paper work and processes,
the shelter was built in the Fall of 2007 off County Road B. In late October, our club had a ride
celebrating the shelter. A picnic with a fire (fire pit donated by JD Parker)
kept everyone very warm on a cold fall night.
